BOOK

My book, Re Imagining the Future and Smart Fashion Manufacturing, explores how computational design, engineered materials, and digital-to-physical workflows can strengthen global fashion supply chains and material sustainability.

The book has been cited over 1,200 times and is referenced in more than 150 university projects, incubator proposals, and entrepreneurial pitch decks worldwide.

Drawing on case studies, reconstruction logic, and material mapping frameworks, the text provides a technical blueprint for integrating sustainability with production precision.

It has become a recommended resource in fashion technology, design engineering, and sustainable systems curricula, helping students and professionals alike reconceptualise waste as structured material intelligence.

1. Luxury Brand Strategy and Communications

My career span`s high-impact work in luxury brand communications, where I supported storytelling and strategic campaigns for global names such as Bulgari and contributed to Vogue-aligned projects. My role integrated creative narrative with brand positioning, helping luxury houses craft immersive consumer experiences and elevate engagement across digital and editorial platforms.

2. Sustainable Fashion Innovation with Khaqh

As Chief Fashion Officer of Khaqh, I drive systems-level sustainable fashion innovation. I developed and operationalised a reconstruction framework that converts discarded textiles into engineered garments with predictable performance. Under my leadership, Khaqh’s first four collections sold out rapidly, diverted more than 1.2 tons of waste, generated significant audience engagement, and positioned the venture for a projected $5 million in annual revenue.

3. Production Leadership in Academic Fashion Ecosystems

Nandini Sharma operates at the intersection of design, production, and material systems within academic fashion environments. Her work integrates applied research from her paper Smart Fashion Manufacturing: Semiconductor-Enabled Supply Chains and High-Volume Validation for Apparel, which examines pattern logic, engineered materials, and resilient production workflows. By treating academic fashion showcases as operational test beds rather than purely creative platforms, she helps translate research-driven insights into reliable, real-world production outcomes.
